Boundary Agents – Invisible Work in Socially Engaged Art
Presentation of Martin Leibinger's dissertation, which gives us a glimpse behind the scenes of the international art world.
Curator and researcher Martin Leibinger explores how socially engaged and participatory artistic projects are integrated into social and political environments. Martin Leibinger develops the concept of boundary agents in the context of art sociology. These actors create connections between social worlds and are dynamic door openers for new creative processes, themes, materials and aesthetic means of expression at the margins of the international art world.
